I enjoyed this trip, excellent to get out of England and have some sun, the gf wasn’t so keen though, mainly because she said there weren’t enough healthy eating options and we were the youngest people on board. That’s true – we were like half the age of most people and some looked like they were in their 90s. (more…)

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED BACK FROM THE ISLAND ESCAPE CRUISE IN THE MED. I WAS VERY NERVOUS BEFORE GOING, DUE TO SOME OF THE REVIEWS AND THE FACT IT WAS MY FIRST CRUISE. IN SHORT, WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND LOTS OF CHOICE FOR ALL TASTES. THE OASIS RESTAURANT IS EXCELLENT,WELL WORTH A VISIT AND THE EXTRA SURCHARGE. THE STAFF AT ALL LEVELS ARE EXTREMELY HARD WORKING AND VERY VERY FRIENDLY. CABIN WAS BASIC BUT VERY CLEAN AND ADEQUATE FOR US (YOU ARE NOT IN YOUR CABIN ALL DAY). WE DID OUR OWN EXCURSIONS SO THAT SAVED MONEY, BUT SOME WERE VERY GOOD APPARENTLY. THE ACTIVITIES ON BOARD WERE VERY VARIED, THERE WAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. THE MAIN BAND “PINK PANTHER” WERE NOT VERY GOOD THOUGH, THEY WERE QUITE SEMI PRO. APART FROM THAT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CRUISE SHIP TO EVERYONE. THERE WAS NOT NEED TO OVERDRESS UNLIKE SOME OTHER CRUISE SHIPS. IT WAS VERY VERY RELAXED AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING.

When Ruby Princess debuts in November, Princess Cruises will launch The Ultimate Ship Tour, an opportunity to explore some of the ‘back of house’ areas that are run the ship’s daily operations including the engine control room, medical centre, print shop, laundry, photo lab, and bridge. Those taking the tour will also receive themed mementos at many of the stops along the route. The tour lasts approximately three hours, and will be offered once or twice per cruise on a sea day. Space is limited for the tour, which will be available for around £70 per person. Following its debut aboard Ruby Princess, it will be introduced to all Princess ships.

World Club has four membership stages: silver, gold, platinum and diamond. UYou become a silver member after your first sailing with Cunard and this entitles you to a 5% discount on future sailings.
